Yamada Laboratory, Kyushu University

I have transferred

2013年01月01日

At the beginning of the new year, I have an announcement to make. As some of you may already know, I have left Kanazawa University and, as of today, have taken up a position as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Science, Kyushu University. This is not a temporary transfer (laughs).

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the professors who supported my nomination. The research environment is truly excellent, and I have a feeling that I will be able to advance my research in Educational Technology. I am looking forward to what lies ahead. Kyushu University was also among the first national universities to promote the development of its university library, and I would be happy if we could collaborate on something related to university libraries as well. If you happen to be at Kyushu University, please feel free to stop by the Ito Campus, even though it is a bit of a distance.

I am also grateful for the support I received at Kanazawa University. I learned so much about higher education systems, the history of FD, institutional aspects, nationwide trends, as well as political perspectives and the realities of the field. My experiences in Kanazawa will continue to be valuable in my future work. I have come to see many things more clearly, and my perspective has broadened.

I look forward to your continued support.
