Three presentations have been accepted for the international conference eLearn, organized by AACE, which had its submission deadline in early August. The venue is Singapore. How many years has it been… perhaps since the last ICCE held there? It brings back memories. It has been about 10 years, I suppose.

This study analyzes the relationship between the use of the LGC (Learner-Generated Contents) system, developed by Dr. Uchiyama (currently at NAIST) under the AIP acceleration research project led by Dr. Shimada, and actual learning activities. We analyze how learning behaviors on educational materials differ between students who used LGC and those who did not.

This paper focuses on the development and evaluation of “Activity Charts on Moodle,” a system that visualizes Moodle learning logs, and the learning material distribution system “B-QUBE,” both of which are integrated into our university’s Learning Analytics dashboard, “Metaboard.” It analyzes the relationship between the usefulness of the dashboard and metacognition.

Aiura, W., Yamada, M., and Fukushima, S. (2024). The Development and Formative Evaluation of an AR-Based Picture-Book Storytelling Training System, Proceedings of eLearn 2024

This is a result of our ongoing joint research with Dr. Fukushima from the Faculty of Information Science and Electrical Engineering at our university. We have developed an AR-based learning support system for high school students aiming to become childcare workers, designed to help them acquire storytelling skills, in collaboration with Fukuoka Municipal Fukuoka Girls’ High School. We had the teacher and students try it out and received their candid feedback. Childcare has some unique aspects in Japan, which made it a bit difficult to explain, and I struggled while writing it, so I am relieved that it was accepted. I believe this will be quite an interesting study.
