On March 10 and 11, the CLE (Collaboration and Learning Environment) Research Group was held at the Ito Campus of TUFS. Dr. Atushi Shimada, who has been helping us with our Learning Analytics research, was the chairperson of the meeting, and Dr. Okubo led the Ito Campus meeting. Since the conference was held at the Ito Campus, I thought it would be a good idea to increase the number of presentations from Kyushu University, so some of my students, although they are not members of the research group, presented their papers (I am a member). The following three presentations will be given.
1. A class design with automatic speech recognition system to enhance the use of vocalization strategy (By Saki Hirata, Masahiro Yamada)
2. Design of the Augmented Reality Learning System to Facilitate Understanding the Polysemy of Japanese Compound Verbs (By Geng Gawang, Masahiro Yamada)
3. Design and Development of a Learning Support System for Psycho-mimic Word Meanings Using Virtual Reality (By Li Chen, Yamada Masahiro)
Some students made their debut here, while others gained experience. For my part, this was my second time attending the conference, but there were people I knew and had collaborated with, which made me feel at ease, and I thought it was a good place for students to present their work. It would become a good opportunity for them to gather information, receive feedback, and be stimulated by the information-related education and learning. I will be back often in the future.
The CLE workshop itself is a hybrid event, but I thought face-to-face was a good environment.
