It is wonderful that the first post of the New Year is such happy and celebratory news. I hope this trend continues.
Our former doctoral student, Hao Hao, who is currently an academic researcher working with Prof. Kume, has had his paper accepted and recently published!! It has been a long road… Actually, the acceptance was decided at the end of last year, but no specific publication date was provided, and time just kept passing. Since it is a major global publisher like Springer, I assumed they would be thorough, but we did not receive any clear answers, so I waited until the official publication to be certain it had truly been accepted.

This is a laborious work… It has finally been accepted and published! It has been a long time… Thank you to the reviewers. Your constructive comments were very useful and helped improve the paper, providing hints for further thought. I am very grateful.

This is a laborious work that applies Merrill’s First Principles of Instruction, a form of Instructional Design, to a Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) class, clarifying the usefulness and challenges of using ID through quantitative research and discourse analysis of discussions. The lead author, Hao, worked very hard! This is truly a joyous occasion. We received a report from Springer that the acceptance rate was 13%, making it a very rigorous journal, so he did a great job. I am relieved that this will advance the process toward Hao’s doctoral degree and serve as an achievement that will help him in his job search.

It is open access, so I would be happy if those interested would take a read. Moving forward, I would like to develop more research and practice in the direction of ICT utilization × ID × CLIL. If you are interested, please feel free to reach out to us.
