We conducted an analysis targeting an information science course, and found that simply spending a long time looking at learning materials does not necessarily lead to better grades; rather, there is an optimal amount of time, and course materials viewed during that time were found to frequently utilize cognitive learning strategies. Although this is within the limited context of information science, it is a study that has yielded insights by approaching the data through learning logs. In particular, learning logs related to Self-Regulated Learning also became apparent. Furthermore, although the analysis is limited, we observed different relationships between logs and Self-Regulated Learning awareness among high-performing and low-performing learners.
We intend to continue developing this research and contribute to the advancement and practice of Educational Technology.
