We finally did it! A co-authored paper discussing the relationship between e-learning and procrastination has been accepted. This paper was written with Dr. Goda from Kumamoto University as the lead author. Remarkably, it has been accepted to the journal Learning and Individual Differences (Elsevier: Impact factor: 1.565 (2013)). This is a wonderful achievement!! It is a high-quality international journal. While research on procrastination itself has been conducted for a long time, it seems that its relationship with e-learning, as well as its connection to learning behaviors and performance, has not been studied extensively.
For the past six years, I have been conducting research on Self-Regulated Learning and the design of e-learning. We have developed and evaluated systems, such as one that predicts potential dropouts in advance to provide mentor support. The paper that was accepted this time analyzes the relationship between awareness of deadlines for assignments, learning behaviors, and learning performance, among the various learning styles that learners are said to possess.
It has not been published yet, but I am relieved that we have received the acceptance notification.

I will continue to do my best to produce high-quality research.
