We have finally reached this point. This is something I have been discussing with Manager Okabe of the Nagoya University Library for some time. I am truly glad. I am very happy. While the primary objective is learning support in learning commons, I would like to explore and implement various ways in which the library as a whole can contribute to education and learning. We will also be conducting the ILI Librarian project (with the cooperation of Professor Hiroyuki Masukawa of Shizuoka University—thank you very much) to train library staff who will work in these spaces as places for education and learning support. I hope this will be a productive collaboration that can provide benefits to many other higher education institutions.
