Disaster Prevention DX: Thinking About How to Provide Support During Disasters — Notice of the 10th Study Meeting of the DX Promotion Headquarters

2026年02月26日

At the Digital Society Creation Research Division (DS Division), where I serve as the division head, we invite researchers within the university who are involved in DX research in a broad sense to introduce their work every two or three months. On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, we will hold our 10th study meeting, marking a milestone.

The theme is “Disaster Prevention DX.” Japan frequently experiences natural disasters, which cause immense damage in various locations. The earthquakes and floods in Noto are still fresh in our memories, representing truly painful situations. “Disaster prevention” is inseparable from living in Japan, and how we tackle it—and how we support those affected by disasters and those providing assistance—can be described as an urgent issue for the nation.

In this 10th meeting, with “disaster prevention” as the keyword, we would like to discuss DX research through the utilization of ICT in disaster prevention in this era of advanced information and communication technology (ICT), as well as mental care during disasters and ways of providing support during such times. If you are interested, please do join us. As it is a hybrid event, participants from distant locations are also welcome to attend.

Thank you very much.
