In March, the Japan Society for Educational Technology (JSET) National Conference will be held in Tokyo, and Yamada Laboratory will be giving three presentations there.

・Kohei Ozaki, Xuewang Geng, Masanori Yamada, Analysis of Career Self-Regulation Ability of High School Students, JSET 2025 Spring National Conference

Mr. Ozaki, a first-year master’s student in our lab and a current high school teacher, will present the results of a survey on the current status of high school students’ career self-regulation ability and lesson plans developed based on those results.

・Xuewang Geng, Masanori Yamada, Formative Evaluation of Learning Analytics Dashboards for Teachers, JSET 2025 Spring National Conference

At the autumn conference, we gave a poster presentation on a system that aggregates and analyzes handwritten notes from the research version of “B-QUBE,” the digital teaching material distribution system used at our university, and provides feedback to teachers. We have since conducted an evaluation of its interface, and we will report on those results.

・Masanori Yamada, Xuewang Geng, Wataru Aiura, Masaki Fukushima, Learning Environment Design Linking Data Between Digital Textbooks and Virtual/Augmented Reality, JSET 2025 Spring National Conference

We are currently conducting joint research with Fukuoka Joshi High School, where Professor Fukushima’s team is leading the development of a VR system to support the acquisition of childcare skills. We are advancing the development of a system that links data with in-class handouts and textbooks to connect desk-based learning with practical skills. We will explain the design and expectations for this system.
