A review paper that I co-authored has been published in the special issue of the Journal of Japanese Society for Educational Technology titled “Contemporary Educational Needs and Educational Practices & Techniques.”

The Editor-in-Chief is Professor Inagaki from Tohoku Gakuin University. Educational technology is a research field with the primary goal of solving educational and learning issues that arise in practice. Therefore, it is natural to identify needs by some means and seek solutions. However, following the COVID-19 pandemic, these needs have become increasingly diverse. In this context, the educational evaluation team, which was part of the priority research area I was involved in, was tasked with writing a review paper on the use of technology in educational evaluation, as well as the development and challenges of learning evaluation research that stem from it. I, along with Professor Oura (Tokyo University of Science), a junior colleague from Akahori’s lab, was responsible for the chapter on learning analytics. We discussed various aspects of the paper’s structure, and thanks to Mr. Oura’s excellent work in organizing the content, it was very easy to write.
It feels like it’s been a while since I last submitted a manuscript to the JSET Journal. For some reason, I was quite nervous (haha). Why? I have no idea.
I would be grateful if those who are interested could take a look.
Thank you for your continued support.
