The second semester has begun, and on October 2, Mr. Xuewang Geng, a former doctoral student in the Yamada Lab, assumed the position of specially-appointed assistant professor.

Mr. Geng has already published three papers in international journals, including one in the SSCI. He is a diligent young researcher, having authored approximately 17 or 18 publications, which include presentations at international conferences.
He has been a pivotal member of the Yamada Laboratory since his time as a research student. His primary research focus is on the development of an AR-based Japanese compound verb learning support system. Additionally, we are working on a learning dashboard that visualizes the learning process using paper cards. I am eager for him to apply his expertise in learning analytics and the design of AI-enhanced learning environments.
We anticipate that the Yamada-Geng Laboratory will continue to spearhead research aimed at enhancing learning environments.
