Introduced by Professor Eguchi of our Faculty of Education, I have contributed an article on Learning Analytics to the journal “Kyoshoku Kenshu” (Teacher Training), published by the Institute for Educational Development.
The gist of the content discusses how, with the spread of initiatives like the GIGA School Program, a vast amount of learning logs are accumulating in the learning support systems used in classrooms. I talk about what can be understood by utilizing these logs, how they can be applied to classroom instruction, and what kind of literacy—”educational data literacy”—is necessary when proceeding with lessons based on Learning Analytics using these learning logs.
If you have a copy at hand, please take a look if you have the time.
