I have been aiming to improve the performance of my research output this year, and I have been working on submitting papers and presenting at international conferences. I am very happy to announce that a paper I submitted has been accepted! To be precise, this is an expanded and revised version of the paper that received the Best Paper Award at CELDA 2015 last year. The committee members at CELDA 2015 recommended that I submit an expanded and revised version of the content presented at the conference—including additional methods and discussion—to a journal, and I am very grateful for that opportunity. The first round of peer review came back with “minor revisions,” but some of the comments were actually quite substantial, which made the process challenging, but I am very pleased that it has successfully resulted in a publication.

The paper was accepted by the Journal of Computing in Higher Education (Springer, Impact Factor 0.500). The content is based on the presentation at CELDA 2015, which used path analysis to examine the relationship between Self-Regulated Learning, active procrastination, and assignment submission time logs. Being recognized internationally in this way is a great motivator! I hope to continue conducting high-quality research, disseminating it globally, and contributing to the development of the field of Educational Technology and to research that helps improve education and learning.
